Lacapelle Biron has a small village shop providing all the essentials including daily fresh bread & croissant, an English speaking doctors surgery, a pharmacy, a post office, a butchers & Le Palissy, a restaurant & bar owned by a Dutch family serving fabulous regional dishes.
There is a small local market in the village every Sunday morning.
A must is a visit to Chateau de Biron, an impressive 12th Century castle with glorious views of the surrounding countryside as well as the fascinating interiors which are open to visitors.
If you like adventure and have a head for heights then Parc en Ciel the local adventure park is worth the day out, cleverly hidden within 16 acres of woodland just on the outskirts of the village. The park is designed for the casual climber or the serious thrill seeker, there is also a small lake, natural swimming pool, mini golf & a children's playground.
Lacapelle Biron is ideally sited for trips into the wine regions of Duras, Cahors and of course Bergerac, each region having its own unique landscape and architecture...Lacapelle even has it's own local vineyard Domaine de la Tuque.
An abundance of bastide towns, traditional local markets and ancient monuments mean that you are never very far from something to see.
